I’ve got the blues for my birthday. Oh yes, blue orchids to brighten my smile! Thanks to a wonderful family I get to show off these beautiful flowers.
The picture here captures the orchids as is. They really are amazing! To bad I can’t bring them to Honduras with me. The girls would just love to have them with us. You see, Lily’s bunny died (a really long time ago), but ever since she tried her auntie’s tablet she fell in love. I believe this was her way to plant the idea of, BUY A TABLET so I can have fun! “Cuanto cuesta? How much does the rice cost?” I ask. I am told 10 Lempiras a pound. In the Honduran market place you try to barter down, but lately it’s getting much harder. Just like U.S. prices have gone up, it has here as well.
“Una Carga” of beans, please! That’s right, we just bought 200 lbs of beans

Hello All! I am glad to be back in the States! It may only be for a couple of weeks but it is always nice to be back to my native, home sweet home.
I can’t say that I enjoy the snow and below zero temperatures, but expected for January here in Green Bay, WI. It’s actually been very nice weather in Honduras. Hasn’t been too hot. I am sure in the next month when I head back it will be sweat rolling weather!!
