It has been such a great experience walking around our town asking local businesses for interviews. When I decided to write on this theme I knew I wanted to take the time to interview at TrabajArt. It is an honor that the owner said yes!
TrabajArt is located right next to Zona Digital (check out the post). The owner, Karla Rivas Lobo, is a fascinating person to chat with. To be honest I probably spent the most time learning about her perfect creations, and thoughts on Catacamas than anywhere else – so far.
At the end of April our family needed some invitations and reminders for the first anniversary passing of my father-in-law, Don Celio. TrabajArt is where they were created. Karla and her team of 2 did an excellent job! They took the time to help us decide how everything should look. The wording was important – they knew just how things should be said.
Karla’s business is to make the perfect invitation, bookmark, business card, or name badge, etc. You need something created? The sky is the limit! She has examples ready to help in case you’re not sure what the business cards should look like. Karla loves to take your ideas as well to make those perfect wedding invitations come alive (so to speak). Once an idea has been drawn up a preview will be ready for the SÍ or NO. It’s not a big deal to go back to the drawing board to get your creation exactly how it should be.

I absolutely love supporting a local business that does a great job! Karla does that in my opinion. I’m amazed how she can create such beautiful masterpieces. Details are important. It is those details that make everything special. My daughter wants her Sweet 16 birthday invitations made there. Her heart is set on it – I know Karla will deliver not only a great look, but also a great price.
When discussing price the word accessible is the description given. Karla explained, “I hear a bride-to-be say that they can’t afford anything really nice. I always explain that they can have something great for a fair price. ” The desire to have a great looking product for a price that you can afford is extremely important to this business woman. It’s not about settling for plain just so the customer can have something. Karla can give you the preview for what is being made in different designs for the different prices available. Now everyone wins!
TrabajArt is open 6 days a week Monday-Friday currently serving customers from 8am-5pm. However, here’s the GREAT part, she will help her clients during hours that she is normally closed! If a customer can’t get there in time all they need to do is give a call and explain. She is available for those tough hours that the customer is working as well.
I applaud this business for making special orders to fit the likes, needs, and wants of its clients. Karla gets 2 thumbs up on her quality, plus trying to get it right the first time. She keeps things private too. Your creation should be your own. Privacy is a must and that is up held. I would say that customer service is an A+.
From my own experience I love the work that is done at TrabajArt. I recently had luggage tags & business cards made. Plus I had a special beansandtortillas.com badge made that attaches to my Airbac backpack to announce where our family can be found on the internet, Facebook, and Twitter. I am a happy customer with my perfect creations.
On a final note – I wanted to share real quick a vision that Karla supports. One I think I will from now on. It is called Asociación Huellas – literally translated as Fingerprints Association. An intriguing name gives the base for 4 individuals trying to make an impression on the life of one child at a time. I will let her words speak for themselves.
“Huellas is a very small group (for now we hope) that tries to lift up children in difficult situations. An example would be supporting a child so they can attend school. Individuals contribute money to provide school supplies, uniform, and shoes etc. We strictly adhere to making sure the money is not given to the parents to spend on other things. We are here to help the child. If they want to go to school then we try to make it possible. So many other things have been done through Fingerprints. So much more is still left to do! This just gives you an idea.”
TrabajArt is a great local business with a vision that expands its local borders. Big vision – one child at a time! What type of group or organization do you support?
