Art Classes for Kids: Actively Participate

My children have just started art classes. It is an amazing opportunity and they are so excited to learn & create! I am just as thrilled as they are!

As a mother I wish to provide possiblities such as these. Have my daughters experience learning hands on. Also to have a creative outlet for them to express who they are. I see how each enjoys and thrives on design through art – like drawing, painting, sculpting, and even coloring.

In Catacamas there really are not many chances to have children participate in things like music, dance, or art. Well, until now. I was happy to learn of an art teacher who directs “Mis Bellas Artes Studio” here in town. She teaches art classes for kids that include: drawing & painting. After making some inquiries I found that we could receive a discount with enrolling all 3 girls. My husband and I are not finacially able to pay for the classes by ourselves. So, for the first time I decided to ask family. With everyone contributing all the girls can take lessons and it doesn’t brake the bank. Thanks so much to my family for the help and desire for the girls to receive these classes!

Now the next step was to buy art supplies. These are not simple art & craft lessons. The classes require supplies that get the job done. They are not cheap, especially multiplied by three. Since it is so expensive I only got them drawing materials. When the time comes closer I hope to get their painting materials as well. You can see from the picture the few things I was able to get them.

I must say we are very blessed to have this help for them to participate. Plus that we could get their art materials. It’s very unfortunate that so many children are not in a position to attend. With out donations my angels wouldn’t be able to either. It all comes down to money. How amazing it would be for the next “Picasso” to walk out of such a class here. Maybe it will be one (or more) of my unbelievable daughters!

If you have a heart for children to learn and create; there is away to get involved. You can actively participate by creating scholarships for them to attend class, or you may donate supplies that are needed. I truly believe it is vital for our future generation to dream, create, and believe! We can all lend a hand in these possibilities.
