Wow!!! What a day we had at the Chicago Botanic Gardens! While my youngest and I were visiting with family we had the opportunity to spend time not only with great company, but also in a surprising place!
The day couldn’t have be better plan if we wanted to. Starting from home we all thought that maybe it would be just too hot to spend time at the Botanic Gardens.
It was 90 degrees and we knew that we would be out and about walking so we almost decided to not go. Well, thank goodness we did venture out.
The closer we got to Chicago we noticed how the temperture cooled a bit to be perfect! There was a breeze and our adventure out changed to be amazing!!
Once we paid for our entrance fee we went and assumed the position in the trolly. We decided to sit in the back just incase Lily wanted to push Grandpa out for silly behavior. The 40 min or so tour was super! Our Guide Elmer was fantastic and funny all at the same time.
At the end of our tour we finished with taking a million pictures of butterflies! Yes they had tons of beautiful butterflies for us to visit. Amazing!!!
We walked the grounds in the Japanese Gardens for our final part of the journey. I love taking pictures and this was really lots of fun! I got to capture as much as I could so my family could see in Honduras.
I would recommend visiting the Chicago Botanic Gardens. It really was fun and beautiful!! I think the butterflies were the best part, but enjoyed the entire visit.
What did you like best?
